Hoover Carpet Cleaner

We broke down and bought a Hoover Carpet Cleaner. After carpet cleaning services that were inconvenient, expensive, and didn't do a great job, we bought our own machine.

Although we only use it every few months, it will easily pay for itself! We use it on rugs, upholstery, and bare floors - almost everything except for our hardwood floors. The 8 foot hose and a special stair/upholstery nozzle are wonderful on staircases and for scrubbing out stains on upholstery, and with three little kids we have plenty of stains!

The Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge is a great machine. It's consistently rated very highly by users, often rated number one, and you can buy one for just a hair over US$150. Great results for a reasonable price. We found hundreds of positive reviews as well as our positive results.

It cleans at least as well as the competition, and sucks water/solution out of carpet extremely well leaving carpets dryer than  most machines. It has five spinning brushes and two tanks to dispense and collect hot water for cleaning. The "Clean Surge" feature squirts extra solution where needed for tough stains with just a press of a conveniently placed button on the handle. It's a great carpet cleaning machine.

For a bit more money, about US$250, the Hoover F7452900 Steamvac All-Terrain Floor Cleaner , and the Hoover F7412-900 SteamVac Dual V Widepath Carpet Cleaner , for about US$180 are also great machines and mught be a bit more durable if they receive heavy use, but we prefer the The Hoover SteamVac with Clean Surge F5914-900. It comes with a one year warranty, and check out the 1000+ positive reviews on Amazon!
