Resolve is a spray on carpet cleaner that is great for spot removal. With three kids and a dog, it's essentially in our household. It's also great when daddy spills coffee or when a tipsy friend spills red wine!
It's very simple to use. Spay on just a little bit - no need to "soak" the carpet. Let it sit for three minutes, although for small stains I usually don't have that much patience. Then rub out with a damp cloth. We keep old worn out towels around just for this purpose. Some nasty stains may need very vigorous rubbing to remove them, and the occasional stain will need several applications.
The only time it didn't work is on some particularly vile dog vomit on a white wool rug. A few applications later it is infinitely better but not perfect. I think the fact that it sat at least overnight until we noticed it is definitely a contributing factor!
It's absolutely miraculous on food and drink stains.
For people or pet stains stains, like vomit, blood, pee, and poop, clean as
much up as possible and then apply resolve. As I mentioned, it's worked
perfectly for almost all of these types of stains.
We not only use it on carpets, but also in cars and for furniture as well. It's fabulous on upholstery, and has even removed ink and paint quite well although your mileage may vary with really nasty stuff.
We used to buy it locally, but now usually buy Resolve Carpet Cleaner
from Amazon, often
using it to increase our order amount to qualify for free shipping.
You can save money after you've bought your first spray bottle of Resolve by
buying it in regular bottles and then refilling the spray container.
If you've got kids or pets you need it! Not to be hyperbolic, but I can't live without it, at least not in a house without stains all over the carpets and furniture.
